Job Title Manufacturing Engineering Manager III Job Category Engineering Job Description What starts with YOU, moves the world! Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Manufacturing Engineering Manager III based at our Berea, KY manufacturing facility. What you will do:
  • Lead manufacturing engineering team, providing direction, prioritization, and coaching to support production, safety, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Own departmental budgets and capital spending, including annual planning, monthly tracking, and quarterly forecasting in partnership with finance.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor capital and process improvement projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal production disruption.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing plant layout, workflows, equipment reliability, automation, and manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Support new product introductions and process changes, ensuring manufacturability, scalability, and operational readiness.
  • Oversee the implementation and sustainment of advanced manufacturing and automation systems, improving productivity and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, maintaining facilities and equipment to applicable state and federal standards.
  • Develop team capabilities, identifying training needs and building technical and leadership skills across engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, supply chain, and leadership to align engineering priorities with business goals.
  • Lead the HYPull (lean operating/continuous improvement) system for the plant.

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role

  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Automation systems, equipment integration, and process optimization

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
