Job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and driven Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) Project Manager to lead water resources projects from planning through construction in the Plano and Fort Worth areas. This role is ideal for an experienced civil engineer with a strong background in H&H design and modeling, who excels in both technical delivery and project management. You'll lead critical infrastructure projects that support flood risk reduction, stormwater management, and resiliency throughout one of the nation's most dynamic region.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of hydrology and hydraulics components for multiple water resources and infrastructure projects.

  • Prepare proposals, including scope of work, fee estimates, and schedules. Assist in developing client agreements and managing sub-consultant coordination.

  • Oversee project contracts, budgets, cost estimates, invoicing, and collections, ensuring financial health and contract compliance.

  • Manage or oversee the development of detailed engineering designs, specifications, studies, construction documents, reports, and plan sets.

  • Ensure adherence to company and client quality assurance processes throughout all project phases.

  • Develop technically sound and high-quality work products under the mentorship and review of senior staff.

  • Collaborate with the construction inspection team to establish inspection schedules, review field reports, and conduct site visits.

  • Address and resolve design issues that arise during construction, maintaining communication with contractors and clients.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering or science field.

  • 4+ years of experience in Hydrology and Hydraulic design and/or modeling.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.

  • Valid Texas driver's license and an insurable driving record.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with HEC-RAS or HEC-HMS is a plus.
