This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: at the full performance level, you will serve as a Engineering Technician (Civil). You will perform work involving the gathering, processing, analyzing, and evaluating of hydrographic and related survey data.Qualifications:This is a developmental position in Engineering & Construction Division, Hydraulics & Hydrology Branch and may be filled at the GS-04 or GS-05. If selected at the GS-04 or GS-05 level, the target level for this assignment is a GS-08. The grade level selected will be based upon your qualifications. Non-Competitive promotion to the GS-08 may be effected provided you are sufficiently experienced, meet all requirements, and are performing the full scope of major duties.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
