Job Summary

The Director of Sales Energy & Infrastructure will lead enterprise-level business development and strategic sales for BaRupOn's energy and infrastructure services. This role is responsible for cultivating key partnerships, securing long-term contracts, and scaling revenue across public utilities, developers, EPCs, and government agencies. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of infrastructure deal cycles and a strong industry network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead national and regional sales for energy and infrastructure projects including solar, battery storage, hydrogen systems, and microgrids
  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships with utility companies, infrastructure developers, engineering firms, and public sector buyers
  • Oversee proposal development, RFP responses, and contract negotiations
  • Build and manage a sales team, set targets, and track performance metrics
  • Represent BaRupOn at industry conferences, infrastructure summits, and procurement briefings
  • Collaborate with engineering and project delivery teams to ensure client expectations are aligned with scope and delivery
  • Forecast revenue, pipeline growth, and deal timelines using CRM and analytics tools
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory trends, incentive programs, and infrastructure funding opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 710+ years of experience in B2B or institutional sales in the infrastructure or energy sectors
  • Proven ability to close multi-million-dollar contracts or long-cycle public infrastructure deals
  • Deep understanding of the renewable energy market, project finance, and construction services
  • Experience navigating federal/state energy programs, infrastructure incentives, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills
  • Proficiency with sales CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
Preferred Skills
  • Experience selling to government agencies, utility districts, or EPC firms
  • Knowledge of federal infrastructure legislation (e.g., IIJA, IRA)
  • Familiarity with power purchase agreements (PPAs), interconnection processes, or design-build contracting
  • Technical fluency with energy systems and infrastructure delivery models
