Job Title: Business Travel Sales Manager
Location: Hyatt Regency Schaumburg
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: Director of Sales / Area Director of Sales
Position Summary
The Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for driving corporate and negotiated business travel revenue for Hyatt Regency Schaumburg. This role focuses on developing, managing, and expanding strategic corporate accounts while building strong relationships with multinational companies, travel management companies (TMCs), consortia, and key local business partners. The BT Account Manager works cross-functionally to ensure optimal account performance, brand alignment, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive corporate and business travel revenue by developing, maintaining, and growing a portfolio of strategic corporate accounts.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with multinational companies, travel management companies (TMCs), consortia, and key local accounts.
  • Identify new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, market analysis, and client engagement.
  • Negotiate, implement, and manage corporate rate agreements in alignment with Hyatt brand standards and overall revenue strategies.
  • Lead and manage the annual RFP process, ensuring timely, competitive, accurate, and brand-compliant submissions.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, production, and displacement strategies for corporate accounts.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to maximize account performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor account production, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to ensure revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
  • Maintain accurate account activity, forecasts, and pipeline updates in Hyatt-approved CRM systems.
  • Represent Hyatt Regency Schaumburg at industry events, client meetings, and networking functions as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of hotel sales experience, with a strong focus on corporate or business travel accounts.
  • Proven experience managing negotiated corporate rates and RFP processes.
  • Strong understanding of revenue management principles and corporate travel dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
