Job description

The HVAC SUB-AMP Manager is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial HVAC equipment such asboilers,chillers, and light commercial units. This job requires knowledge of air conditioning and the production of chilled water, as well as practical mechanical and electrical understanding.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates and performs inspections on HVAC systems and components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.

  • Perform installations of HVAC equipment and systems and monitors repairs on systems and/or components (e.g., pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.).

  • Coordinates with HVAC Lead and/or Trade Shop Supervisor on completing projects and work orders efficiently.

  • Diagnose cause of problems and/or failures in HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.

  • Perform and oversee basic inspections of chiller system and ensure chiller testing is completed according to standard procedures.

  • Review test results and identify any issues or needed repairs.

  • Tracks performance of routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the availability of HVAC systems.

  • Prepares written reports (work order status, activity logs, etc.) for documenting activities and/or conveying information.

  • Requests equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory amounts and ensure availability of items required to complete installations and/or repairs.

  • Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.

  • Performs other duties as requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Must have at least Eight (8) years' journey-level HVAC experience.

  • Completion of HVAC apprenticeship is required.

  • CFC/HFC certification.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License

  • Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)

  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Jordan

  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.

  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools common to trade.

  • Ability to interpret and apply codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings is required.

  • Must have knowledge of operation / installation of a variety of complete HVAC systems / equipment.

TRAVEL:100% Deployed to location

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
