HVAC Estimator - Commercial |$100,000 to $130,000 per year

Depending on experience and credentials

Work Hours: Full Time

Location: Valdosta & Nashville GA

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for estimating Commercial HVAC new construction and renovation projects, including Design-Build installations ranging from $1 million to $10 million
  • Estimating HVAC, duct work, Sheetmetal, Hydronic piping and Plumbing
  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and light commercial HVAC projects.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to develop comprehensive proposals and budgets.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the estimating process.
  • Estimate projects within various market sectors including hotels, hospitality, K-12 schools, higher education facilities, and other commercial/light commercial buildings.
  • Support successful project acquisition through detailed scope analysis, value engineering, and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Estimating HVAC, duct work, Sheetmetal, Hydronic piping and Plumbing
  • Utilizing Electronic Takeoff Systems - AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Builder Trend, etc.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC project estimating
  • Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Ability to perform detailed material and labor takeoffs to determine material quantities, labor hours, and project costs.
  • Experience reviewing and comparing competitive trade bids.
  • Strong attention to detail when analyzing blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate takeoffs and estimates.
  • Proficient in mathematical calculations and unit conversions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Extensive knowledge of electronic takeoff and estimating software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Buildertrend, and similar platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members when needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
