Ruby Mountain HVAC-R — Northern Nevada

Pay Rate: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour (DOE) + Performance Bonuses & On-Call Pay

We are seeking a seasoned, self-motivated Experienced HVAC Service Technician who diagnoses accurately, communicates clearly with customers, takes pride in clean craft, and wants room to grow.

The Role

  • Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems (furnaces, heat pumps, AC units, mini-splits, and packaged rooftop units).

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, airflow, ignition, control, and refrigerant circuit issues.

  • Perform recovery, evacuation, leak detection, brazing, charging, static pressure testing, and temperature-split diagnostics.

  • Present honest repair, maintenance, and replacement solutions directly to property owners and facility managers.

  • Complete accurate digital dispatch notes, photos, and invoices via company-provided iPad.

  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency service calls and provide mentorship to apprentices when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of hands-on field experience in residential and/or light commercial HVAC service and diagnostics.

  • Certifications: EPA Universal Card required (OSHA 10 preferred or able to obtain).

  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.

  • Technical Skills: Strong electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities; proficiency reading wiring schematics and technical service manuals.

  • Physical Ability: Able to climb ladders, navigate roofs and crawl spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
