Join Our Engineering Team: HVAC/R Technician About the Role Chevy Chase Club is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC/R Technician to support the operation and maintenance of our extensive facilities and member amenities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and overall experience of our members, guests, and team members through the maintenance and repair of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across the Club.The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance within a fast-paced hospitality environment. What You'll Do Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout Club facilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related mechanical systemsDiagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues utilizing schematics, meters, gauges, and diagnostic equipmentConduct inspections to identify operational issues, equipment deficiencies, and safety concernsRepair or replace defective components including motors, compressors, thermostats, relays, controls, piping, and wiringUtilize tools and equipment including ohmmeters, welding equipment, gauges, and plumbing tools as neededEnsure all systems operate efficiently and in compliance with building codes, OSHA standards, safety regulations, and Club policiesSupport general property maintenance initiatives related to HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systemsMaintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, inspections, and materials utilizedRespond to emergency maintenance situations in a timely and professional mannerCollaborate with Engineering team members, contractors, and department leaders to complete projects efficiently while minimizing operational disruptionsMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all timesDeliver exceptional internal customer service while interacting professionally with members, guests, and fellow team members Qualifications Required HVAC CertificationEPA Certification (Universal preferred)Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilitiesWorking knowledge of OSHA rules, regulations, and workplace safety standardsAbility to read and interpret HVAC schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsExperience utilizing diagnostic tools and testing equipment, including ohmmeters and electrical testing devicesAbility to work independently while managing priorities effectivelyStrong communication and teamwork skills Preferred 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/R installation, maintenance, and repairJourneyman HVAC LicenseExperience with commercial HVAC/R systems and preventative maintenance programsKnowledge of refrigeration systems, plumbing, appliance repair, and welding Schedule & Physical Requirements Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency calls as operational needs requireAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials consistent with Facilities operations Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation: $35.00 - $42.00/hourWeekly payOvertime eligibilityComplimentary employee meals during shiftsFree employee parkingMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceRetirement Savings PlanPaid Time OffOpportunities for professional growth and developmentSupportive and collaborative team environment Why Join Us
