Position Description:
The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. This role ensures that all HVAC equipment operates efficiently and safely to provide a comfortable environment for guests, customers, residents, and employees.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Install, replace, and repair HVAC equipment, components, and related systems.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency.
  • Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and work orders.
  • Respond promptly to HVAC service requests and emergency situations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including EPA guidelines.
  • Perform filter changes, coil cleaning, belt replacement, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with energy management and conservation initiatives.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors as necessary.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • HVAC certification, trade school diploma, or equivalent technical training required.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification required (or as required by local regulations).
  • Minimum 2 years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, controls, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on the position.

Schedule
Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and overtime as needed based on hotel occupancy, staffing needs, and business levels.
