We’re growing our Columbus team and seeking a Residential HVAC Field Service Specialist who shares our commitment to doing the job right.

The Role

In this field-based position, you will provide high-quality service and preventative maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems. You’ll report to the HVAC Service Supervisor and Operations Management, ensuring every task is performed accurately and safely.

A Day in the Life
  • Service, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling equipment.
  • Inspect ductwork and keep company tools/materials in safe, serviceable condition.
  • Identify components, wire, and commission complete home comfort systems.
  • Diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and make repairs to restore proper operation.
  • Perform system start-ups; test and document results to verify performance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and communicate any concerns to dispatch and the customer.
  • Clearly explain the services and repairs you complete to dispatch/customers.
  • Coordinate your daily schedule directly with the office.
  • Order and stage needed parts in advance so each appointment begins prepared.
  • Transport parts, materials, and tools to job sites and account for assigned inventory.
  • Complete all digital paperwork/tablet entries accurately and on time.
  • Debrief each call with dispatch/customers and provide required documentation.
  • Leave every workspace clean and orderly when the job is done.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean and organized, inside and out.
  • Uphold all company performance standards and our code of ethics.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor with customers and coworkers.
  • Use protective floor savers on footwear while working in client homes.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of residential HVAC experience
  • EPA Certification
  • Soldering/brazing proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Beginner computing skills; able to use a computer, laptop, or tablet
  • Basic internet navigation and email (e.g., Microsoft Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willing to work overtime with short notice; occasional weekends
Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC trade school certification
  • 2+ years of experience in residential HVAC

Working Conditions

  • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather (heat, rain, cold, wind) with appropriate PPE
Physical Demands
  • Drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift
  • Lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Frequent climbing, bending, crawling, kneeling, and crouching
  • Work at heights; climb ladders and stairways
