Job Summary

We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Manager to oversee service operations, contractor installation verification, and equipment startups for an HVAC manufacturer representative firm. The ideal candidate will ensure that HVAC systems are installed properly by contractors, conduct post-installation inspections, and manage commissioning processes to optimize system performance. Additionally, this role includes leading HVAC service teams, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Contractor Installation Verification & Equipment Startup
  • Conduct onsite inspections and validate contractor-installed HVAC systems for compliance with manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and local codes.
  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to contractors when installation discrepancies arise.
  • Document installation assessments and communicate necessary corrections to contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee HVAC equipment startup, ensuring proper system operation and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with contractors and facility managers to ensure accurate system settings, calibration, and efficiency optimization.
  • Manage HVAC service team to ensure high-quality onsite performance.
  • Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and workflow optimization for inspections, startups, and service calls.
  • Review, edit, and price service and startup quotations with accuracy and consistency.
  • Approve weekly timecards for technicians and monitor work quality.
  • Organize training programs and provide ongoing technical support to installation teams and service technicians.
  • Ensure technician licenses and certifications remain current and compliant.
  • Maintain compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all industry regulations.
  • Communicate project updates to customers and project managers, ensuring strong client relationships.
  • Manage escalated customer concerns and provide effective solutions.
HVAC Project Documentation & Operational Efficiency
  • Develop HVAC project documentation templates, including specification reviews, pre-startup, and commissioning checklists.
  • Ensure HVAC project documentation aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Implement operational efficiency measures to streamline workflows and maintain department effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in HVAC service management, contractor oversight, and equipment startup processes.
