Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a HVAC Engineer to support a company focused on the design, manufacturing, integration, and deployment of a large-scale naval training simulator for a military training environment. This position is on-site at Orlando, FL. The HVAC Engineer will lead HVAC system design, testing, and integration efforts for a complex, full-scale ship simulation platform. Join a long-term, mission-critical program that supports advanced training capabilities through innovative engineering and precision system design.

Responsibilities for the HVAC Engineer include:
  • Design and develop HVAC and chilled water systems for a large-scale naval training simulator environment
  • Perform HVAC engineering analysis, testing, validation, and system integration activities throughout the product lifecycle
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and models using CAD tools, including SolidWorks and/or Revit
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support manufacturing, assembly, deployment, and installation efforts
  • Support system startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and final integration activities during construction and deployment phases
Required Qualifications for the HVAC Engineer include:
  • 7+ years of HVAC engineering experience with a focus on system design, testing, and integration
  • Proficiency working within a CAD design environment
  • Experience using SolidWorks and/or Revit
  • PE License (Mechanical preferred) with a strong HVAC design background
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE standards; ASHRAE Certified HVAC Designer (CHD) certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field; substantial relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 30% during construction and deployment phases
Compensation for the HVAC Engineer includes:
  • Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
  • Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law
