Position Summary

The Lead HVAC Installer is responsible for overseeing and performing residential HVAC system installations while ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as the primary installer on projects and provides guidance and support to installation team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish
  • Install heating and cooling equipment, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, package units, and ductless systems
  • Oversee and assist with ductwork modifications and installations
  • Remove and replace existing HVAC systems
  • Train and mentor apprentice and junior installers
  • Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and local codes
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and resolve issues in the field
  • Perform startup, testing, and quality checks to verify system performance
  • Complete installation paperwork and job documentation accurately
  • Maintain a clean, professional, and organized job site
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners, project managers, and team members
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred
  • Previous experience leading installation crews strongly preferred
  • EPA Certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation procedures, and industry best practices
  • Ability to read blueprints, installation diagrams, and technical documents
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage installation projects effectively
