HVAC Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, lead, and grow in the HVAC industry.

Job Description: Full-time HVAC service technician responsible for servicing residential and light commercial equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Locating, diagnosing, and repairing problems on residential and light commercial equipment.
  • Recommend and perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, and alteration of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and/or parts.
  • Respond to emergency calls and perform emergency repairs on equipment promptly and efficiently.
  • Recommend and educate customers on all necessary and optional upgrades in the inspection, repair, and alteration of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and/or parts.
  • Conducting warranty services.
  • Perform duct cleaning and sanitization services on forced air systems.
  • Maintaining proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle for repairs.
  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
  • Responsible for delivery of excellent customer service and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately scheduling and managing workloads.
  • On-call responsibility including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis (typically 1 week every 4-6 weeks) .

Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of field service experience and/or completion of a 2-year tech school HVAC training program.
  • Clean driving record and insurable driving record.
  • Must pass drug and background screens.
  • Possess a positive attitude, exceptional customer service skills, and advanced critical thinking skills.
  • Self motivated individual with strong ability to follow instructions and work independently, with minimal guidance.
  • Team player that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
  • On time, with a clean presentation of them self, meeting the dress code, and prepared to work every day.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (i.e. ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in small spaces).

Compensation: Wage to be based upon work experience and knowledge in the HVAC industry. The employee's overall wage is relative to performance in position responsibilities and periodically evaluated on a merit basis.

Tuition reimbursement is available for recent HVAC/R graduates.
