Duct Cleaning & Duct Sealing TechnicianThe Duct Cleaning & Duct Sealing Technician is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, repairing, and sealing residential and light commercial HVAC duct systems. This position helps improve indoor air quality, HVAC efficiency, and overall system performance while delivering a professional customer experience.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform residential and light commercial duct cleaning services.Clean supply ducts, return ducts, registers, grilles, air handlers, and related HVAC components.Perform duct sealing using approved methods and materials, including mastic, aerosol sealing systems, and mechanical repairs.Inspect duct systems for air leakage, damage, contamination, and airflow restrictions.Take before-and-after photos and document completed work.Set up and operate specialized duct cleaning and sealing equipment safely and efficiently.Maintain a clean and organized work area inside customers' homes and businesses.Educate customers on findings, recommended repairs, and system performance improvements.Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.Complete jobs, service reports, and job documentation accurately.Assist with HVAC installations, repairs, and maintenance when needed.Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.Participate in training and ongoing professional development.Required QualificationsValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and other confined areas.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Professional appearance and positive attitude.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and basic measuring equipment.Ability to follow written procedures and safety guidelines.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Preferred QualificationsPrevious HVAC, duct cleaning, insulation, restoration, or construction experience.Experience with Aeroseal or other duct sealing technologies.Knowledge of HVAC airflow, static pressure, and duct design principles.NADCA certification or willingness to obtain certification.Experience operating duct cleaning equipment and negative air machines.Experience working directly with homeowners.Basic computer and mobile app proficiency for documentation and communication.EPA Certification (helpful but not required).HVAC service or installation experience.Desired Skills & AbilitiesMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong problem-solving abilities.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to communicate findings clearly to customers and team members.Ability to identify opportunities for duct repairs, upgrades, and indoor air quality improvements.Commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and confined environments.Ability to safely operate ladders and work at heights when necessary.Ability to lift and transport equipment throughout the workday.Success in This RoleComplete duct cleaning jobs to company quality standards.Consistently document jobs with photos and notes.Identify duct leakage, airflow, and IAQ opportunities when present.Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and equipment inventory.Contribute to company revenue through accessories, repair and duct sealing recommendations when appropriate.Compensation: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour Nestled in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, we have proudly serviced areas between Gresham and The Dalles for over 16 years.
