Job description

Overview

The 3W&C Surgical Unit at the Huntsville Hospital for Women/Children campus offers an exciting  workflow for the staff. This adult surgical floor receives a variety of patients that includes GYN, GYN Oncology, Breast Cancer, Postpartum, low risk Antepartum, ENT, Plastics, & Pain patient diagnoses.  Orientation consists of working with experienced staff and length of orientation depends on each new employee and their level of experience. The clinical staff is trained to care for the post-op adult as well as adult medical patients.  The staff on 3WSE works closely with health care providers to provide excellent care and compassion to their customers. Our staff has the opportunity to participate in Shared Governance, Clinical Ladder programs, and CEU offerings available online & at Corporate University.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure. Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted. Additional Skill/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
