Job Description:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Wire and install AV systems for residential customers.
  • Verify and test installed systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Journeyman Installer or above
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Proficient PC and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience.
  • Ability and flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and dependability.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.
  • Computer Networking background a plus.
  • Willing to travel to jobsites.

This position is covered by the MN Limited Energy collective bargaining agreement with a pay range of $38.21 to $51.07 per hour, as negotiated under the terms of the agreement. All pay rates, benefits, and employment terms are determined and administered by the union
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • This position is exposed to weather conditions.
  • Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
  • This position requires the ability, and bend or stand as necessary.
  • This position requires the ability to move and/or lift objects regularly up to 50 pounds.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Graduate
  • 4+ years in the Residential Audio-Visual Experience field
  • Power Limited License (PLT) required

PROGRAM INFORMATION
  • Work as a Journeyman LV technician 40 hours per week.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Wages are based on the union scale and increase based on the number of hours worked.
