Job description

Hunt Electric, Inc.of Highlands Ranch, CO is searching for full-time LicensedJourneyman Electriciansto join our team.


Major Duties:

  • Plan new or modified electrical installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, avoid unsightly, hazardous, or unreliable wiring.
  • Installations must be consistent with specifications and local building and electrical codes.
  • Have the ability to follow diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Using proper electrical tools, the candidate must be proficient in measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assemblies, and electrical raceways, conduit, or wire.
  • Have experience in pulling conductors through the conduit using the necessary tools from a small fish tape to large wire pulling equipment.
  • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures, connect power to mechanical and other equipment, and install grounding leads.
  • Perform various electrical testing such as metering, continuity, amperage, ohm, and voltage measurements of electrical circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
  • Perform troubleshooting procedures by observing the functionality of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Have the ability to perform "lockout tag out" procedures enabling the ability to safely repair faulty electrical equipment or systems.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Knowledge of the current National Electrical Code and local electrical codes
  • Be a self starter.
  • Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold a current and valid Colorado Journeyman license.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and its application.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures associated with electrical construction.
  • Knowledge of common safety procedures of all types.
  • Knowledge of electrical construction and maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including indoor, outdoor, and underground systems.
  • Skill in planning, designing, organizing, and executing electrical projects mandated by changing codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to analyze electrical problems and devise and carry out effective plans for repairing problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical information, listen to instructions, and ask questions as necessary.
  • Skill in the practical application of electrical testing devices.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints.
  • Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to climb ladders, sufficient mobility to perform duties in small spaces by crouching, stooping, or kneeling, and physical ability to perform tasks requiring strength and finger dexterity.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 lbs. Anything that appears too awkward and heavy may require getting help to lift.
  • Have a valid Driver's License.


Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($38.00 per Hour Plus). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Hunt Electric, Inc. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Participation in the Company bonus programs for each plan year are subject to management recommendation and internal committee review.


As a full-time Licensed Journeyman Electrician, you would also be eligible for an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and paid personal time (PTO).

Work Schedule:
