POSITION SUMMARY: The Nail Technician will provide nail services in a professional manner and deliver an exceptional member experience by performing the following duties:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet members/guests on time with proper salutation and a smile, finish scheduled appointments in time frame allotted for the service
  • Perform nail services as listed on the brochure following proper safety and sanitation guidelines, while delivering exceptional member / guest service.
  • Conduct all treatments according to treatment guidelines while following given policies and procedures for The Spa and Salon at Hunters Run.
  • Assess and accommodate guest’s needs: inquiring about physical wellbeing and perform appropriate service.
  • Desire, ability and commitment to educate and sell products to members and guests.
  • Does not prescribe, diagnose or suggest ailments
  • Does not solicit personal clients, house calls or the selling of personal products.
  • Maintain availability and dedication to The Spa and Salon at Hunters Run, being available to work as needed including weekends, holidays and evenings
  • Participate in and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, product knowledge classes and team effort
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment
  • Know your schedule and check the computer (NorthStar) regularly for changes or added appointments
  • Abide by all Florida State Board guidelines
  • Comply will all Hunters Run policies and procedures
  • Evaluating the condition of clients’ nails and advising them on proper nail care and suitable nail care treatments.
  • Sanitizing all nail instruments and equipment before each use.
  • Ensuring that workstations are kept clean and orderly.
  • Ensuring that nail supplies are stocked.
  • Providing quality hand and foot massages.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized at all times.
  • Adhere to industry code of ethics; shall not enter gainful employment with a member or guest (i.e., do not solicit or conduct personal business with a member or guest as a private client).
  • Perform opening and closing procedures as instructed by the director.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma of general education degree (GED).
  • Demonstrated competence in manicure and pedicure techniques
  • 2-3 years previous experience as a licensed Nail Technician in a luxury resort setting, hotel or private club

Licenses or Certificates

  • Current Florida State manicurist or cosmetologist license

Qualifications/Skills

  • Excellent eye-hand coordination
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must speak English to understand the clients’ needs
