Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Head Hunters Chiropractic Clinic, you will:

  • Direct and oversee individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities and relieving pain.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clientsโ€™ physical function through applied diagnostics evaluating muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective implementation of care plans and offering mentorship when needed.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of treatments and make necessary adjustments to optimize client outcomes.
  • Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and the application of physical agents.
  • Evaluate and recommend modifications to prosthetic and orthotic devices to promote patient independence.
  • Prepare detailed clinical documentation, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, contributing to a comprehensive client record.
  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing your insights and collaborating on case management.
  • Educate clients and families on treatment plans, equipment use, and strategies for enhancing functional independence.
  • Stay accessible and provide supervision and guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants during their sessions with patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York state.
  • A valid driverโ€™s license and vehicle insurance, as local travel may be required.
  • Current CPR certification to handle emergencies effectively.
Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • At least one year of practical experience in either an acute care or home healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits
