The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the entire recruiting process to attract, source, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates who align with the organization’s culture and business needs.  Develops and maintains a strong partnership with managers to develop recruitment strategies and deliver exceptional candidates experience while ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal procedures. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Understands the culture and the positions of Hummel Group to accurately articulate it to candidates. 
  • Partners with Marketing department to develop campaigns, job posting, and advertisement processes.
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Screens resumes and conduct phone/video interviews to assess qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
  • Schedules and participates in interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Develops relationships with colleges, universities, and high schools to utilize as candidates pipelines and build community. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Excellent knowledge of human resource arena.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to relate to all different personality types.
  • Ability to confront and resolve conflict—asking difficult questions. 
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels of Hummel Group. 
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.
  • Ability to build out programs, processes, procedures, and facilitation. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present in front of groups for training and recruitment purposes. 
  • Ability to learn and perform new duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel offsite and to other offices as needed.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree is required. 
  • Prior work experience (2-5 years) in a Human Resource role is desired.
  • Must have a current driver’s license and an insurable driving record.  
  • Must be working towards industry designations within two years of employment. (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)

Working Environment/ Physical Activities

  • General office work environment.  
  • Ability to drive to other office locations and professional events offsite. 
  • Remote worksite is available with advance arrangements with Leadership. 
  • Requires regular use of arms, hands, and fingers. 
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, reach with arm and hands, stand, walk, stoop, talk and hear. 
  • Required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
