Job description
- Field and respond to donation inquiries and monitor donations email
- Schedule and assist with donation pick-ups and drop-offs and coordinate with appropriate staff, interns, volunteers and/or contractors to complete if necessary
- Participate in meetings with Church & Community Engagement and client service departments to discuss & brainstorm opportunities to meet the needs of program participants
- Conduct inventory of the warehouse and track items needed
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping donations neat; Sweep and dust. Organize donation spaces
- As donations are received and distributed, input them into Dynamics
- Create meaningful ways to engage first time and recurring donors to see continued giving
- Discover new opportunities to receive donated items to increase Gift-in-Kind (GIK)
- Oversee automobile donations and ensure appropriate paperwork and DMV requirements are completed
- Collaborate with various departments to fulfill grant requirements for GIK
- Continually evaluate systems with programs and train staff to utilize systems
- Engage in recurring collaborative & strategic planning meetings both at the local and national level
- As needed:
- Update donation request forms, donations website page, etc.;
- Provide reports regarding donations to supervisor, or as instructed;
- Support Church & Community Engagement department with volunteer and other engagement opportunities
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
- Valid drivers license, access to reliable vehicle and ability to pass MVR standards
- Alignment with World Relief Texas (WRTX) core values
- Understand Church & Community Engagement mission of bringing GIK donors and volunteers into our work by creating meaningful experiences and sharing stories of impact when appropriate
- Cross-cultural experience
- Some flexibility for occasional weekday evening or weekend responsibilities or work events
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Up to 25% domestic travel only required
- Ability to work effectively and sensitively with people of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
- Comfortability driving company vehicles, including box truck
- Relational skills, interact well with program participants, volunteers, donors and team members, creating a welcoming and interactive space for all involved
- Time management and prioritization skills; knows how to organize their schedule to complete the most pressing tasks in time
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Flexibility to adjust to changes in plans
- Problem-solving skills; find possible solutions before bringing to supervisor
- Conduct self in a professional, customer service-oriented manner
- Organizational skills, data entry (update Dynamics as needed) and computer skills, inventory and record-keeping, and warehouse
