Job description

The Humane Society of Summit County is accepting applications for a full-time Veterinary Technician position. This person will provide support to Shelter and MABEL (mobile veterinary unit) Veterinarian and staff with a variety of duties and animal care tasks. The vet tech will apply his/her professional technical skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and laboratory testing, behavior assessment, patient nursing care and client education.

Since 1968, The Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for the abused, neglected, and abandoned animals of our community. Each day, we heal, rehabilitate, and strive to ensure the future of these animals is filled with safety and love. Our staff are critical to our mission's success, and, as such, we promise to provide them with a supportive and positive work environment.

Hours:

Full-time hours

Weekend Availability is required. Holiday coverage will be necessary but will rotate through medical team.
