Job description

Social Services Director Needed- Join our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Team

A leading skilled nursing center in the The Villages area seeks a seasoned and compassionate Social Services Director to be a liaison and representative of the residents’ social interests and plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal and state standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the medical related psycho-social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.

Qualifications:

· Positive attitude toward the elderly.

· Must be a team player.

· Must have the ability to work with all levels of management.

· Must have strong problem-solving skills.

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.

Education and Experience:

· A bachelor’s degree in social work or in Human Services but not limited to Sociology, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling.

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Long Term Care.

· At least 1 year of supervised Social Work experience in a Health Care setting working directly with individuals.
