Their primary role is to gain practical experience by assisting with case management, client support, administrative tasks, and community outreach. Interns may work in various settings, including nonprofits, government agencies, and healthcare organizations. The internship helps them develop essential skills and knowledge for a career in human services, while also making a positive impact on the community.

What types of projects or client interactions can a human services intern expect during their internship?

As a Human Services Intern, you can expect to engage in a variety of hands-on projects such as assisting with case management, community outreach, and supporting ongoing client programs. Interns often have opportunities to observe client interviews, help facilitate group activities, and contribute to needs assessments or resource referrals.
