Responsible for serving as receptionist support for all divisions of Siouxland District Health Department-Ida County and provides general office support.

Provide routine messages or dispatch information to proper employees. Duties Responsible for serving as receptionist support for all divisions of Siouxland District Health Department - Ida County and provides general office support. Provide routine messages or dispatch information to proper employees.

Duties include staffing front public service counter and answering main department phone to provide assistance and direction to visitors and callers. Will work with multiple public health programs, collection and entry of client data in program databases. Enters employee information in databases; receives cash, prepares and balances receipts daily; and receives and distributes mail and shipments.

Under limited supervision performs general clerical work which follows well-established procedures. Reports to the Public Health Nurse Clinic Manager. This position is based in Ida Grove, Iowa Required Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or GED and minimum of one year experience performing general office work in a health or human service professional setting preferred.

Bilingual Spanish/English skills required. CPR Certification required or willing to obtain Computer skills needed. Ability to communicate with diverse populations and to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical ability to transport essential supplies and to lift up to 50 pounds. Candidate for hire must successfully pass background checks, physical exam and drug screening test prior to employment. Woodbury County and Siouxland District Health Department are Equal Opportunity Employers.
