Residential Assistant Manager
Northeast Kingdom Human Services is seeking an Assistant Residential Manager to provide site leadership for a new licensed Residential Care Home in Lyndon Vermont. Are you looking to advance your career? As the Assistant Residential Manager you will gain the training and experience needed to one day meet the regulatory requirements for a manager level position. Gain valuable leadership experience assisting with the overall management and daily operations of staffed home for adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.

NKHS is a Designated Agency contracted with the State of Vermont to provide the highest quality of service in the areas of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, children and youth with serious emotional disabilities, and adults with mental health and substance use challenges. We serve the populations of Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties through a wide variety of targeted programs for individuals of all ages. NKHS has over 500 employees providing case management, community and home supports, residential care, psychiatry, medication management, therapy, vocational supports, school based counseling, emergency care, and respite services. RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE
  • Responsible for assisting the Residential Manager in the overall operation of a licensed Residential Care Home including shared on-call responsibilities. May include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Responsible for assisting the Residential Manager in maintaining adequate staff to meet requirements of the program and to supervise, schedule and support staff in the exercise of their duties.
  • Responsible for assisting the Residential Manager in maintaining compliance with any and all applicable regulations and NKHS policies.
  • Responsible for prioritizing resident safety.
  • Responsible for assisting the Residential Manager in maintaining the facilities in a safe, clean and home-like manner
  • Responsible for providing for the needs of the consumers.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree in human services field or equivalent experience in human services field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative and/or supervisory role in residential care is preferred.
  • A plus for demonstrated experience and competence in working with individuals who are developmentally disabled.
