POSITION SUMMARY:

This position serves as a Head Start Site Director for clustered Y Head Start centers, as well as Y Head Start sites located in Public Schools. The Head Start Site Director provides direct supervision to Head Start Teachers, Assistant Head Start Teachers, Resource Aides, Food Service Personnel, Drivers and Substitute teachers. Head Start Site Directors are primarily responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations, including OCC/Child Care Licensing compliance and  Head Start Program Performance Standards. The Head Start Site Director collaborates with  other Y team members to ensure high quality integrated comprehensive services are implemented  consistently. This position is chiefly responsible for the following core functions and performs other tasks as needed:

  • Planning
  • Program Implementation
  • Family Engagement Family Engagement Partnerships 
  • Communication and Service Coordination
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
  • Ongoing Monitoring Human Resources and Supervision 
  • Program Governance and Leadership

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must obtain a criminal background check.

Education  

  • Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Studies, Child Development, Human Development, Human Services or related field.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in early learning center, preferred.
  • Knowledge of OCC regulations and HSPPS, preferred..
  • Management of multi-center locations.
  • ECERS and ITERS, preferred
  • Knowledge of Computer Applications
  • Valid driver’s license

Certifications - Earn and Maintain

  • CPR and First Aid
  • CLASS Reliability
  • 45-Hour Director’s Certification
  • 90-Hour Certification, if degree is in a related field
