Job description

Live Action is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Human Resources & Operations Assistant
(HOA) to play a key role in supporting our HR and Operations functions and advancing the
organization's mission. In addition to HR and operational responsibilities, this position works
closely with our California team to manage the office and coordinate California-based events.
The HOA must be passionately committed to Live Action's mission and inspired to do the best
work of her/his life. This position offers the potential for growth and the opportunity to be part of
a dynamic, growing, and highly productive team. The role is based in Orange County, CA and
paid hourly.
The HR & Operations Assistant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Sorting, scanning, and sending mail to the appropriate POCs
• Assisting with annual audit documents
• Facilitating state registration documents
• Coordinating team meetings, taking and distributing meeting notes
• Assisting with planning Live Action's annual Staff Retreat
• Filing sales tax for the Live Action Store
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure non-profit discounts are applied to all major
vendors
• Notifying various staff of special occasions or team members' life events
• Sending cards, gifts, flowers, etc., on behalf of the leadership team for special events
• Supporting Live Action's recruiting efforts: screening initial applications, scheduling
interviews, and preparing offer letters
• Facilitating account setup for new hires
• Assist as needed with ensuring the Orange County office is equipped and prepared for
scheduled meetings, events, and productions. Work with vendors and staff to ensure
facilities are stocked, clean, and organized.
• Assist as needed to run errands for food, printing, mailing, or other supplies.
• Assist as needed with research or making calls through guest lists for upcoming events
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing various events held at the office,
sometimes on weekends
Requirements:
• Dedicated to the pro-life mission,
• Part-time availability (15-25 hours per week)
• Proficient in word processing and G Suite, Excel spreadsheets, and familiar with database
use and web resources
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and follow through
with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information
• Previous office experience preferred
