Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Compliance Intern will directly assist the organization as a whole with a wide range of projects related to compliance for both the Alabama and Georgia?s offices, ensuring we are in compliance at the State and Federal level. Under the watch of the Vice President and Compliance Director, this position will be responsible for assisting in a wide variety of Human Resources functions with focus on interviewing, ensuring compliance, and helping with different projects. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest, and apply them in a professional setting. He or she will gain a better understanding of the role the Compliance Department can play in an organization, and be better prepared to work in any sector of an organization. Hours are M - F from 8 am - 12 pm. And 1 pm to 5 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and maintain personnel records to ensure compliance
  • Initiate I-9 Entries
  • Assist with internal audits for Organization, Federal and State levels
  • Communicate with different departments regarding updates to documents
  • Assist in daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Maintain confidentiality in all Human Resources affairs

Perform other duties as assigned
