Payroll & Human Resources Specialist - Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach Resort

We are seeking a highly organized, forward-thinking, and detail-oriented Payroll & Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This critical role serves as a key support partner in payroll processing, HR administration, UKG systems management, onboarding, compliance, and team member engagement initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, takes initiative, embraces change, and enjoys building relationships while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Workforce Management
• Responsible for all pre-payroll processing utilizing UKG Workforce Management (WFM).
• Review, audit, and process timekeeping records for accuracy and compliance.
• Review and approve daily tips through Toast POS and import tip data into UKG.
• Partner with department leaders to ensure proper approvals, corrections, and payroll accuracy.
• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and troubleshooting payroll-related concerns.
UKG Administration & Systems Support
• Assist with implementation and administration of UKG HR solutions and modules.
• Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for UKG Pro and Workforce Management systems.
• Assist with developing training materials, user guides, and process documentation.
• Support managers and team members with UKG navigation, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Partner with leadership on continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
Human Resources Administration
• Coordinate and administer performance evaluations and tracking processes.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, benefits administration, and employee documentation.
• Support HR communications, team member events, recognition programs, and community partnerships.
• Maintain employee files and HR records with strict confidentiality and accuracy.
• Assist with policy administration and serve as a trusted resource regarding company policies and procedures.
Recruiting & Onboarding Support
• Serve as backup support for Talent Acquisition functions including:
• Offer letters
• Background screenings
• Motor vehicle record checks (MVRs)
• I-9 processing
• E-Verify processing
• Assist with onboarding coordination and new hire experiences.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related experience preferred.
• SHRM-CP certification or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of Payroll/HR Generalist experience within a hospitality environment.
• Previous experience with UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Management required.
• Experience with Toast POS systems strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of Florida labor laws and employment regulations.
• Excellent documentation and recordkeeping skills.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
