Human Resources Assistant

Corporate Coverage Company is hiring a Human Resources Assistant to join our HR and Safety team. We support a family-owned group of recycling and industrial service companies operating across six states. Since 1976, we've delivered practical, reliable industrial solutions across the Midwest and South โ€” and our corporate team plays a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly.

This position will play a key role within the growing HR department by supporting multiple organizations across the United States. The HR Assistant will support HR operations, enhance employee experience, and maintain compliance through both the HR and Safety department. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the Human Resources and Safety departments.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Respond to employee inquiries
  • Monitor and manage the company Human Resources inbox
  • Process employee lifecycle changes in our HRIS
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and manage new hire tracking
  • Support HR compliance via updating employee personnel files
  • Maintain accurate records through timely data entry and updates
  • Assist with recruitment tasks (posting job ads, scheduling interviews, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support to the Safety team, including maintaining records and assisting with related projects and compliance activities.
  • Assist with various Human Resources and Safety projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 1 Year of administrative or HR-related experience preferred
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Must be dependable, empathetic, patient, and receive feedback from leadership
