Director of Human Resources

Carroll Park Healthcare is looking for a dependable employee to fill a demanding role in our skilled nursing facility. We are looking for someone with great customer service skills to join our team. The qualified individual will be an essential part of the facility management team. The HR Director will play an important role on our Human Resources team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to lead HR due diligence and integration planning for all new partners joining the Carroll Park Healthcare team which is critical as we continue to build a best-in-class workforce and work environment through the hiring process and new partnerships. You will work closely with leadership team to maximize the hiring efforts at the facility. This dual role also includes the workforce management role which is another crucial role within the facility. The most important part of this job is to prioritize, and problem-solve scheduling and daily staffing for each unit to provide adequate staffing coverage.

Duties may include, but not limited to:
  • Assists supervisors and leads in the development and posting of schedules in accordance with scheduling and posting guidelines.
  • Serves as contact person for daily sick calls and works with the employee’s authorized hours, applicable contracts, and human resources policies.
  • Prioritizes and problem solves scheduling and daily staffing for each unit to provide adequate staffing coverage.
  • Processes time off requests according to employee’s authorized hours, applicable contracts, and human resources policies.
  • Identifies unit-staffing needs and lists open and available shifts accordingly.
  • Maintains and updates computerized staffing scheduling system.
  • Ensuring the staffing is adequate for the needs of the facility.
  • Understands HPPD
  • Reviewing resumes and scheduling the appropriate follow up.
  • Ability to work with the corporate team to ensure a smooth and seamless process.
  • Lead and support the HR due diligence process for all partnerships and new hires
  • Engage and build trust with our new partners and present an overview of the HR diligence and integration process
  • Build trusting relationships with new teammates and serve as their onsite point of contact during the early days of new partnerships
  • Provide people related integration recommendations to senior leaders to support a successful integration into the company
  • Partner internally to conduct employee-related data analysis (ex: headcount, salary, benefits, etc.)
  • Lead HR projects and process improvements across the organization
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to help drive successful partnerships and integrations
  • Cultivate and build strong, productive working relationships with all stakeholders within the organization
  • Build out and continuously improve the HR diligence process by identifying and developing process improvements, best practices, and tools to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and improve the quality of integration efforts
  • Partner with other members of the HR Team to develop best-in‑class processes, tools, and training to support future growth
  • Lead key projects and initiatives as required; deliver initiatives through detailed planning and management of scope, schedule, and resources (project management)
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a BS or BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, or any related field (preferred)
  • In lieu of education/degree, relevant experience will be considered.2-3 years’ experience with scheduling in a 24/7 healthcare facility (preferred), scheduling experience in a busy/high demand organization will be considered in lieu of healthcare related experience.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet navigation.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
  • Ability to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures.
  • Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
  • Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.
  • The optimal candidate will have experience as a scheduler, specifically in a long-term care setting.
  • Must be good at multi-tasking and must be a team player.
  • Must have great communication skills.
  • Human resources experience is a plus.
Qualifications:

Preferred at least two (2) years of experience in health care. Knowledge of corporate business management preferred. Exhibit good verbal and written communication and public relations skills. Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities. Relationship building is a plus. Must be computer savvy and understand word, excel, outlook.
