Our Senior Employee Relations Advisor role supports the day-to-day HR needs of their offices, walking side by side with leadership and provides guidance and consultation on how policies and programs can be leveraged to meet business needs, and help build and develop the people and culture needed to achieve the CLA promise and firm initiatives.
The Senior will work under the mentorship of the Regional Director of Field People Solutions that covers the region and will support and sit in our Minneapolis location This is a mid-level role with advancement opportunities to Director or specialized HR functional roles as the firm continues to grow.
How you'll create opportunities in this Senior Employee Relations Advisor role:
  • Supports Managing Principals to deliver service excellence on all firm-wide and People Solutions related strategies, initiatives, and processes in partnership with the People Solutions Regional Director or Director.
  • Embodies the CLA Promise, and is developing knowledge of the CLA business, our industry, and what differentiates us.
  • Under guidance of People Solutions Regional Director, supports and guides local office efforts to build and develop employees through coaching, learning, and experiences by connecting regularly with office leaders and Career Coach Champions.
  • Proactively engages on employee relations issues
  • Facilitates and encourages local participation in coaching roundtables
  • In partnership with the People Solutions Regional Director or Director, collaborates with office leadership on annual process decisions including advancement and compensation decisions.
  • Develops understanding of the CLA Promise
  • Develops understanding of compensation and advancements at CLA
  • Develops knowledge of the CLA business, our industry, and what differentiates us.
  • Responsible for focusing on their own professional development.

What you will need:
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a generalist role required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • This role will require approximately 10% travel. Candidates will need to provide or have access to their own transportation.

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $74,000 - $125,000.
