Job description

Palmer Johnson is looking for a Service Assistant to join our team in Edmonton. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has mechanical aptitude, and wants to gain experience working alongside skilled technicians.

As a Service Assistant, you'll support our service department by assisting with shop operations, preparing equipment for repair and shipment, and helping maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment. The role also includes some warehouse and inventory responsibilities to keep the service team running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Assist technicians with shop repairs and daily service operations.
  • Clean, prepare, paint, test, and stage components and equipment for repair or shipment.
  • Receive, organize parts and help maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Pick, pack, and load outgoing shipments.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Load and unload customer equipment and freight.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and warehouse.
  • Perform local pickups and deliveries as needed.
  • Follow all safety policies and complete other duties as assigned.
  • Mon-Fri 800am - 430pm (some overtime as required)
