We’re seeking an experienced HR/Benefits & Recruiting Administrator to join our Human Resources team and help us attract, retain, and support our most valuable resource—our people.

Position Summary:

The HR/Benefits & Recruiting Administrator is a key member of the Human Resources Department responsible for planning, managing, and executing day-to-day benefits administration as well as leading recruitment efforts. This individual will ensure that employees receive excellent support and service in relation to benefits, compliance, and onboarding processes. In addition, the role involves active sourcing and recruitment of candidates for a variety of positions across Martha & Mary’s multiple corporations.

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and works closely with brokers, vendors, hiring managers, and internal HR staff.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (hours negotiable for 8 hour workday)Wage: $26.00/hr. - $30.00/hr. depending on applicable experience Key Responsibilities:Benefits Administration:
  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 403(b), and more.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and concerns.

  • Collaborate with brokers, insurance companies, and vendors to ensure quality service and compliance.

  • Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations; oversee open enrollment and ACA compliance.

  • Maintain accurate benefits records and process monthly benefit invoice reconciliation.

  • Bi-weekly reconciliation of benefit premiums in collaboration with the payroll coordinator/accounting.

Recruiting:
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.

  • Post open positions across various platforms and manage applicant tracking.

  • Source candidates through direct outreach, job boards, job fairs, and professional networks.

  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview processes.

  • Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.

  • Promote the Martha & Mary employer brand through community engagement and recruiting events.

Additional HR Functions:
  • Advise on EEO, ADA, and employment regulations.

  • Conduct exit interviews and support “stay” interview initiatives.

  • Maintain compliance posters and assist with compensation administration.

  • Provide back-up support for HR daily administrations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years in an administrative role, including at least six months in human resources.

  • Experience in employee benefits administration and recruiting strongly preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ADP workforce now systems.
