Job Summary:
Hughes is part of EchoStar, which builds solutions that help families and communities stay connected. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Product Manager to define product strategy, develop product roadmaps, and drive product development for their aviation business.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for aircraft solutions spanning hardware, software, and services
โ€ข Evaluate emerging technologies and emerging markets by conducting market research and assessing competitive products to inform product selection and ensure our offerings remain innovative and competitive
โ€ข Craft compelling go-to-market strategies, create product documentation, and train internal teams to effectively communicate the value of the products
โ€ข Drive product roadmaps while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives, market trends, and customer feedback
โ€ข Develop and own the process to prioritize product initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
โ€ข Manage the product life cycle from concept to obsolescence
โ€ข Leverage knowledge of aviation systems to guide product design, development, and integrationl collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with market needs
โ€ข Manage strong relationships with customers, aircraft manufacturers, vendors, partners, and key stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, aerospace, business administration, or a related field
โ€ข 8+ years of relevant work experience
โ€ข Prior experience managing all phases of the aviation product lifecycle, including product research, design, development, testing, certification, production, maintenance and support
โ€ข Prior experience owning and executing product roadmaps, trade studies, prioritization decisions, and lifecycle planning
โ€ข Prior experience in product development, roadmap development, and/or market research
Preferred:
โ€ข Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and certification processes
โ€ข Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
โ€ข Ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to establish concurrence
