Job description

Field Service Technician: Milledgeville, IL
This position offers a unique combination of hands-on technical work, customer interaction, and domestic and international travel. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and looking for a long-term career with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 50% travel (national & international) required
  • Travel to customer locations for equipment installations, demonstrations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
  • Provide technical support and training to customers
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Manage travel schedules, expenses, and service documentation
  • Assist with final assembly of manufactured equipment
  • Perform quality inspections on finished products
  • Support loading, securement, and preparation of equipment for shipment
  • Ensure shipments meet applicable domestic and export requirements
  • Coordinate maintenance activities for equipment, vehicles, and facility systems
  • Perform routine facility upkeep and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Work with outside vendors to schedule repairs and service
Skills & Experience:
  • Education: GED or HSD, required; Associate’s degree or Technical School (AWS) training, preferred
  • Experience: 2+ years of field technician experience; MIG/TIG welding ability highly preferred
  • Knowledge: working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical components, required
  • Software: design software experience, preferred
