HUD (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) professionals typically work within government agencies and require specific certifications. Housing Counselors, on the other hand, often work for nonprofits or community organizations providing housing advice and assistance. While both roles focus on housing, HUD roles are more administrative and policy-oriented, whereas Housing Counselors directly assist individuals with housing needs.
