HTX Material Handling – Tyler, TX

Position Overview

As a PM Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance, diagnosing issues, and repairing forklifts and material handling equipment. This includes Linde, Baoli, and competitive brands. Prior experience maintaining lift trucks/forklifts is preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance and inspections on internal combustion (IC) and electric forklifts.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems with minimal supervision.
  • Repair or replace components including engines, transmissions, LPG systems, power steering, and hydraulic systems.
  • Accurately identify, order, and install necessary replacement parts.
  • Perform engine tune-ups and complex electrical diagnostics.
  • Use and maintain all required tools and equipment properly.
  • Operate and maintain service van in a safe, clean, and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing HTX Material Handling at customer sites.
  • Mentor apprentice technicians through on-the-job training.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist across the HTX Material Handling network to support customer needs.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or technical training.
  • 2–5 years of industrial equipment repair and maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile/tablet-based work order systems.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.


Work Environment

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.
  • May work in hot, cold, wet, or humid environments.
  • Noise level ranges from medium to loud.
