Job description

HTS has a vibrant look and brand promise -- one that reflects our company-wide commitment to ensure the individual success of all those involved in a project's HVAC system selection, design, purchase, installation and maintenance including our employees, suppliers, customers and end users.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to service calls and diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair BMS/BAS/DDC and HVAC control systems.
  • Troubleshoot controls from the supervisory controller through field controllers, sensors, actuators, end devices, and wiring.
  • Perform programming modifications, system diagnostics, commissioning support, and control system repairs.
  • Interpret HVAC mechanical systems and sequences of operation to identify and resolve control-related issues.
  • Work with multiple controls platforms and interfaces, including Tridium Niagara, ABB/Cylon, Distech, Honeywell, Johnson Controls/FX, and similar systems.
  • Support larger controls projects and integrations while working closely with project managers and other technical team members.

Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years of experience with BMS/BAS/DDC systems, including diagnosis, programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability with controls, field devices, sensors, actuators, and wiring; candidates who demonstrate the ability to learn these skills quickly will also be considered.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems and typical sequences of operation.
  • Familiarity with ladder-logic-style programming, DDC, PLCs, or similar control programming concepts.
  • Experience with one or more BAS/control platforms such as Tridium Niagara, ABB/Cylon, Distech, Honeywell, or Johnson Controls/FX. Niagara/N4 certification is a strong plus.
  • Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and professional communication with customers, coworkers, and project teams.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
