Job description

Support the General Manager, Customs Compliance Department, in leading U.S. tariff impact mitigation, tariff cost recovery, available benefit utilization, and customs-related reporting activities. This position coordinates tariff-related data collection, analysis, reporting, stakeholder communication, and process improvement across CCD, Sales, Business Units, Corporate Business Planning, customs brokers, KPMG, overseas affiliates, and other related parties. The position is allocated approximately 80% to CCD and 20% to Corporate Business Planning, with a primary reporting line to the General Manager, CCD.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate monthly tariff impact reporting for Expeditors/GPP, Rudolph Miles/Mexico, UPS/GPP, YUSEN/GPP, and other applicable brokers or import lanes.
  • Oversee collection, validation, allocation, and reporting of tariff data by customer, broker, origin, HTS code, country of origin, import value, duty type, and financial impact.
  • Coordinate monthly tariff impact P&L analysis, including occurrence, customer pass-through, rebate, refund, and net impact.
  • Support Sales and Business Units with information needed for customer tariff recovery discussions.
  • Support review of CBP Form 7501 and related declaration data to identify tariff exposure, duty accuracy, and mitigation opportunities.
  • Coordinate with brokers and stakeholders to clarify ACE data, invoice data, packing list data, HTS classification, country of origin, and import value.
  • Lead or support Section 232 credit application activity and other available government benefit, rebate, refund, or tariff avoidance opportunities.
  • Coordinate FY25 PSC progress tracking and review with applicable brokers.
  • Support FY25 IEEPA progress tracking and related refund or benefit activities.
  • Monitor tariff-related policy changes and communicate potential business, customer, and financial impacts.
  • Work with CBP-related contacts, customs brokers, KPMG, overseas affiliates, Sales, Business Units, Corporate Business Planning, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain status tracking for open items, action owners, deadlines, and required countermeasures.
  • Prepare supporting analysis for OEM pass-through, rebate, refund, and compensation discussions.
  • Develop and implement manual workload reduction measures through standardization, systematization, templates, checklists, and reporting discipline.
  • Support training, task assignment, review, and development of subordinate associates.
  • Support Corporate Business Planning activities as assigned.
  • Perform other CCD and tariff-related duties as determined by the CCD General Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, international trade, finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in customs compliance, tariff management, import/export, logistics, business planning, or financial analysis preferred.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. import processes, customs broker activity, CBP Form 7501, HTS classification, country of origin, import value, and duty calculation preferred.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills required; Power BI, SQL, Smartsheet, Access, or similar reporting tools preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, follow-up, project coordination, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Supervisory, team leadership, or project leadership experience preferred.
  • 8-10 years progressive experience including 2-4 years as Superintendent or similar supervisory capacity.
