SENIOR CLOUD APPLICATION ENGINEER
What experience should you have:
  • 8+ years of professional web application development experience.
  • Expert-level command of Go and Typescript with full-stack development experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Cloud platform, including VPC, Load Balancing, and web application architecture.
  • Strong background in web application architecture design, and best practices.
  • Extensive experience operating cloud run applications in production environments with high availability and scalability.
  • Proficiency with git workflows and understanding of agile application development processes (SDLC).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Cloud Developer certification.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing consulting role, managing diverse stakeholders and navigating complex organizational structures.
  • Direct experience supporting data science teams or building AI-driven applications.

What you'll be doing in this role:
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of complex web applications using Go, TypeScript (Svelte), and Python (FastAPI).
  • Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Architect and manage the deployment of web applications on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing services such as Cloud Run, Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), Vertex AI, and various Google Cloud APIs.
  • Develop maintainable and user-friendly interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., Svelte, HTMX)
  • Collaborate with data science teams to integrate AI models into production-ready web interfaces and APIs.

  • Actively mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical growth within the team.
  • Establish best practices for development. Conduct thorough, constructive code reviews to maintain high standards of logic, security, and performance.
