While jobs in hospice counseling can differ in their duties, your main goal in any positions is to support a patient and their family in end-of-life care. Your responsibilities may be to provide therapy, bereavement counseling, or medical treatment, depending on your role. Social workers aid in the coordination of services and provide mild counseling. As a hospice counselor, you handle the duties of helping both patients and families cope during this challenging time in their lives. Fear of death, guilt, and denial related to medical circumstances are all issues many individuals struggle with during hospice care. Both positions require proper documentation related to patient care.

Job description

Senior Email & SMS Marketing Manager
Department: Marketing
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Pittsburgh Onsite
Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 / year
Description
Role Summary
Wolfe is a Pittsburgh-based FinTech company building the next generation of gifting and financial products, and we are actively embedding AI across our product, our internal processes, and the way our teams work day-to-day. We're not looking for a marketer who happens to know some tech, or an engineer who happens to do marketing - we need someone who is genuinely both: hands-on with campaigns day to day, and the person others come to when something needs to be configured correctly. As our Senior Email & SMS Marketing Manager, you will create and run marketing, lifecycle, and transactional campaigns across both our consumer (B2C) brands and our corporate/B2B gifting audience, while owning the technical architecture, configuration, and health of the platforms behind them. You will take priorities and sign-off from leadership, but execution and technical ownership are yours to drive. Using AI to work faster and smarter is a core expectation of this role, not a nice-to-have. This is a 5-day onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA (Greentree).
Responsibilities
  • Own the email calendar and program end to end for both our consumer (B2C) brands and our corporate and B2B gifting audience, making the day-to-day execution calls with autonomy and tailoring cadence, content, and metrics to each.
  • Build responsive, on-brand email templates in the Email Service Provider (ESP), and QA them across major clients and devices before every send.
  • Design and operate segmentation, triggered journeys, and lifecycle automations (onboarding, nurture, loyalty, retention, and win-back) in HubSpot and Mailchimp.
  • Own the email database and integrations: build clean, compliant audiences (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CASL); monitor deliverability and inbox placement, partnering with DevOps on SPF, DKIM, and DMARC; and report on revenue impact across the brands.
  • Own the correct technical configuration of our email and SMS platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, SMS provider) - integrations, automations, and data flow - and serve as the source of truth for how these systems should be set up
  • Run the A/B testing program from end to end: defining tests, coding variants, recording results, and applying what wins to lift open, click, and conversion rates.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate production and analysis (copy variants, segmentation, QA, reporting), and independently bring new AI-driven efficiencies into the email program rather than waiting to be asked.

Impact Statement
For more clarity on the role, below are the success metrics and measurements for this role in the first 90 to 120 days:
  • Ship email-only serialized promo codes and per-journey codes into production live and tested on at least two brands, with the third scheduled.
  • Work with our team to integrate with our reporting platform (Triple Whale) so email attribution is live and feeding revenue reporting, with at least one brand reporting.
  • Establish documented deliverability and engagement baselines and show measurable movement toward 95% inbox placement, a 22% open rate, a 2% Consumer and 3% Business click-through rate, holding spam complaints and unsubscribes under 0.3%.
  • Deliver at least one measurable AI-driven improvement to the program, for example an AI-assisted subject-line or send-time test that lifts open or click rates against the documented baseline.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years in in email and/or SMS marketing, with a track record of both running B2C and B2B campaigns and owning the technical platforms behind them with a track record of owning programs independently and delivering with minimal oversight from strategy through execution.
  • Hands-on ability to build and QA responsive email in a modern ESP, ensuring correct rendering across inbox clients including Outlook and dark mode, not just basic drag-and-drop.
  • Deep, hands-on proficiency with HubSpot and Mailchimp or comparable ESP and marketing automation platforms (automations, dynamic content, APIs), plus working knowledge of email deliverability fundamentals (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, list hygiene).
  • Proven technical fluency: ability to code and debug in HTML/CSS, work directly with APIs and webhooks, and use SQL for segmentation and audience architecture
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in marketing execution (AI-assisted copywriting, content generation, segmentation, or testing), with a bias toward finding and applying new efficiencies.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks
Wolfe is committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being, along with competitive compensation. Our benefits and perks include but not limited to:
  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
  • Profit Share
  • Medical, Prescription, Vision, and Dental insurance for employees and dependents (Wolfe pays 80% of premium)
  • Short-Term Disability Insurance (Wolfe pays 100% of premium)
  • Voluntary Long-Term Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, and Hospital Indemnity coverage
  • PTO (vacation and sick time)
  • Corporate Holidays and Floating Holidays
  • 401(k)
  • Employee recognition program
  • Charitable Donation to a charity of your choice yearly
  • Employee Referral Bonus
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Internal Training and Information sessions
  • Family Picnic, Holiday Party, and other outings
