The HSSE Manager serves as the site expert for all health, safety, security, and environmental programs-ensuring regulatory compliance, advancing a proactive safety culture, and driving continuous improvement across operations. This role is instrumental in supporting world-class HSSE systems aligned with Vallourec's long-term ambitions.
Your Role at a Glance
  • Serve as the site subject matter expert for all HSSE programs, standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee HSSE systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Maintain and report HSSE metrics, KPIs, and compliance documentation
  • Coach and advise leadership on HSSE regulations, best practices, and risk mitigation
  • Manage risk assessment programs and ensure effectiveness through KPIs
  • Develop, implement, and deliver HSSE training programs for employees and contractors
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and environmental sampling to ensure permit compliance
  • Oversee contractor HSSE management and third-party security services
  • Manage waste streams and recommend sustainability improvements
  • Supervise HSSE staff and coordinate multi-site alignment of programs
  • Collaborate with external agencies and regulatory bodies as needed
  • Support implementation of group HSSE standards and policies
  • Develop and manage HSSE budgets and resource allocation
  • Travel as required to support business objectives
What Sets You Apart
We're looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:
  • 15+ years of HSSE experience with 5-10 years in a leadership/supervisory role
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations (RCRA, SWPPP, SPCC), and HSSE best practices
  • Strong expertise in behavioral-based safety and incident investigation methodologies
  • Experience with ISO 14001 & 45001 and integrated management systems
  • Proven ability to lead safety culture transformation and drive proactive reporting
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills across all organizational levels
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with digital systems and Microsoft tools
  • Oil & Gas or OCTG experience preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in HSSE, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • OSHA 30 certification required; CSP or equivalent preferred (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred depending on location
