Job description

GridSource, Inc is seeking a HSE Coordinator in the Orlando, FL area.
The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for the design, implementation, communication and coordination of all environmental, health and safety programs for the company. Must work with management as needed to facilitate compliance and total safety while ensuring production and customer satisfaction as a top priority.
Essential Functions:
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Continually maintain awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the company to create a culture that prioritizes effective HSE
• Provide regular written reports, as well as other production-related results and updates to the management team
• Address specific reporting and record keeping requirements of OSHA, EPA, NESC etc., as well as other pertinent safety/ regulatory compliance matters and to ensure project sites are compliant
• Ensure all employees are up to date on all training requirements
• Conduct new hire orientation classes in regard to safety (H2S, PEC, general HSE awareness courses, etc.)
• Ensure all pre-employment, post-accident, random, reasonable suspicion and return to duty drug testing is complete and any applicable reporting is completed
• Conduct site visits/audits (Weekly field audits and quarterly shop audits)
Present results from findings and provide guidance on corrective actions moving forward; ensure implementation of corrective actions
• Make sure proper company provided PPE is being used while performing job functions
• Ensure safety compliance and conformance with legal regulations, client requirements and company best practices
• Attend customer safety meetings as required
• Track man hours for monthly TRIR updates with in region
• Direct routine weekly safety meetings (Wednesday's)
• Once a week ride out with different crews to kick off JSA (Tailgate) meetings to start day.
• Coordinate with operations management to ensure materials and training are completed as required
• Ensure training matrix is up to date and all employees are accounted for
• Ensure all employees are turning in near miss reports; be able to digest and analyze reports to provide pragmatic solutions
• Should be available for major safety incidence(s) on site as soon as possible
• Review all JSAs, track/trend, and discuss improvements/concerns with employees
• Maintain risk assessment for location/region
• Audit Sub-Contractors to ensure compliance with customer requirements
Required Skills:
• Language Skills - ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operations instructions and policies/procedures; ability to write reports and simple correspondence and effective communicate/present information to groups of coworkers, customers or employees
• Depending on region Bi-lingual preferred.
• Advanced Math Skills - ability to apply mathematical concepts such fractions, ratios, percentages and proportions to practical situations
• Reasoning Skills - ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form; ability to solve practical problems quickly and efficiently
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Computer knowledge and proficiency with Windows and MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Work Environment:
The performance of this position will require exposure to wellsite locations, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must be able to respond to calls 24 hours/day seven days/week. This position will require travel mainly weekly/biweekly throughout Florida with monthly/quarterly travel to the Carolinas and Viginia
Required Education and Experience:
1. Associate's Degree in HSE or related field
2. Four to six years' related experience or training
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
1. Certified and qualified trainer in PEC and other HSE topics preferred
2. Certified Train the Trainer for bucket truck operations.
Ability to pass a background check and obtain a TWIC card if needed.
