We're bringing together the people, ideas and capital that nurture progress and growth, helping to create a better world - for our customers, our people, our investors, our communities, and the planet we all share.
In compliance with applicable laws, HSBC is committed to employing only those who are authorized to work in the US. HSBC may engage in immigration sponsorship for this position if needed.
Ready to grow global cash management with top US Technology, Media and Telecoms clients?
Why HSBC
HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. Guided by our purpose of opening up a world of opportunity, our ambition is to become the world's most trusted bank globally, putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
The Opportunity
Join Global Payments Solutions (GPS), one of HSBC's global transaction banking product lines generating over 10% of HSBC Group revenues. This role sits within our sector-focused coverage model supporting Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) with a dedicated focus on Technology, Media and Telecoms. Based in San Francisco, you'll manage a portfolio of US headquartered global TMT corporates and help deepen HSBC's global cash management wallet share while growing revenues. You'll partner closely with Banking Coverage and GPS teams across markets and functions to shape client engagement strategies and deliver end-to-end solutions from proposal through to implementation handover. Success means developing a coordinated deal pipeline, converting opportunities into realised revenues and strengthening long-term client outcomes across payments, liquidity and working capital. You'll also bring market insight back into our Product and Channels teams to support relevant product enhancements.
What you'll be doing
  • Partner with Banking Coverage and GPS sales teams to identify opportunities and deepen global cash management wallet share in the TMT (Technology, Media and Telecoms)portfolio
  • Adopt a needs-based advisory approach to understand requirements and recommend appropriate cash management solutions
  • Coordinate cross-market teams to develop solutions and deliver proposals, RFP responses and client pitches through to implementation handover
  • Oversee collaboration with Implementation, Integration and Client Service teams to translate mandates into realised revenues and ongoing coverage
  • Provide feedback to Product and Channels teams on market trends and client requirements to inform product enhancements and development
  • Shape CIB and GPS sector strategies through client planning, wallet sizing, events, case studies and client testimonials
  • Coach team members across the group on sales strategy, pipeline management and sales conversion techniques
  • Build a coordinated deal pipeline with global and regional sales teams aligned to opportunity prioritisation and client value

What we're looking for
  • Bring a proven record of working with complex global corporates in relevant client-facing roles
  • Demonstrate experience managing a client portfolio and accountability for cross-sell or client satisfaction metrics with a proven sales record
  • Apply strong data analytical skills to pipeline management, opportunity prioritisation and revenue growth planning
  • Show understanding of global cash management techniques, competitive trends and the regulatory environment
  • Bring detailed knowledge of corporate treasury operations including foreign exchange, payments, liquidity and working capital
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of cash management clearing services, products, techniques and strategies across local, regional and global markets
  • Apply experience managing large complex corporate relationships with a clear understanding of risk management, credit, structures, products and processes
  • Bring experience in an International Corporate Banking environment or with HSBC Group corporate products and services

Building growth in GPS TMT
This is an opportunity to shape how HSBC supports some of the most significant TMT corporates headquartered in the US as they move money across borders, regulations and currencies. You'll work across a global GPS network to convert complex client needs into practical solutions and measurable revenue outcomes. If you want to build deeper client partnerships across payments and liquidity while strengthening HSBC's position in global cash management we'd like to hear from you. Please note HSBC will only employ those who are legally authorised to work in the U.S. and will not engage in immigration sponsorship for this position.
As an HSBC employee, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities to ensure you have the right skills for today and tomorrow. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package including a robust Wellness Hub, all in a welcoming and inclusive work environment. You will be empowered to drive HSBC's engagement with the communities we serve through an industry-leading volunteerism policy, a generous matching gift program, and a comprehensive program of immersive Sustainability and Climate Change Initiatives. You'll want to join our Employee Resource Groups as they play a central part in life at HSBC, including the development of our employees and networking inside and outside of HSBC. We value difference. We succeed together. We take responsibility. We get it done. And we want you to help us build the bank of the future!
