Job description

Summary:
Student Workers in the Department of Public Safety assist with front desk tasks, parking lot management, programming, and occasionally answering the Duty Phone or dispatching officers. Responsibilities include issuing parking permits, assisting with digital IDs, assist in developing safety programs and content, monitoring reserved parking, occasionally answering incoming calls and dispatching officers, and other duties as can be safely and appropriately assigned. This role requires computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Students gain valuable experience in public service, communication, and project management while supporting the department's community-focused goals
Job Responsibilities:
  • Issue parking permits
  • Assist community members with digital IDs
  • Answer questions from front desk patrons
  • Develop and assist with Safety Programming and content
  • Reserved Parking Monitoring
  • Occasional phone answering and officer dispatch
