Job description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Recruiter to support hiring efforts for an education-focused organization in Lansing, Michigan. This Contract position will manage recruitment activities from sourcing through offer coordination while helping maintain an organized and efficient hiring process. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across teams to identify and attract talent with relevant experience.


Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end recruiting activities, including intake discussions, candidate outreach, interview scheduling, and offer support.

• Build and manage talent pipelines through proactive sourcing strategies for a range of corporate positions.

• Conduct candidate screenings and interviews to evaluate qualifications, experience, and overall fit for open roles.

• Partner with hiring managers to clarify staffing needs, align on selection criteria, and provide updates throughout the hiring cycle.

• Maintain accurate candidate records and hiring activity within the applicant tracking system to support compliance and reporting.

• Assist with HR administrative tasks connected to HR inquiry inbox, onboarding coordination, and hiring documentation.

• Utilize platforms such as Paycor to support recruitment workflows and related HR processes.

• Coordinate with internal teams on compensation, benefits, and payroll-related items that affect the hiring and onboarding experience.

• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment in a corporate environment.

• Strong background in sourcing candidates and moving talent through all stages of the recruitment process.

• Ability to conduct interviews and assess applicants using consistent, role-aligned evaluation methods.

• Hands-on experience working with an applicant tracking system and maintaining accurate recruitment records.

• Working knowledge of HR administration practices related to recruitment, benefits, and employee support.

• Familiarity with Paycor
